The one trade that uses both halves of what we sell, on the same job, minutes apart.

Finishing a surface means working through a series of steps, each gentler than the one before. Every step removes the scratches the last one left. By the end the scratches are too small to see, and the surface looks polished.

That is why finishing shops tend to buy their emery and their felt from the same place. Both get used up at the same rate, and running out of one stops the work just as surely as running out of the other.

Everything we supply, and what each one is used for in polishing & finishing. Where something has no use in this trade, we say so.

Wool felt
The last step. Wheels, heads and discs in a range of hardnesses, loaded with polishing compound. Felt does not cut on its own — it carries the compound and follows the shape of the part, so a curved surface stays curved.

Non-woven felt
Backing pads behind a working surface, cushioning, and the protective layers that stop a finished part getting marked between jobs or on its way to the customer.

Rubber emery
The first step. Abrasive grit set in rubber, for grinding, taking off sharp edges and preparing a surface — anywhere the job is to remove metal rather than shine it.
