Non-woven felt

Non-woven felt

Synthetic and blended needle-punched felt where wool is not the answer.

Needle-punched non-woven felt is made by mechanically entangling fibre rather than pressing wool. It is available in wool, wool and polyester blends, and full synthetic.

Chosen where chemical resistance, cost or a specific thickness matters more than the properties of pure wool.

Comes as
Roll or sheet. Cuts cleanly with a blade.
Tell us
Thickness in mm and sheet size, and whether it is cushioning or insulating.
800 – 1200 GSMHeavy padding, wear pads, load-bearing felt
A heavy non-woven felt pad on a concrete floor
Looks like
Heavy and dense. Closer to a mat than to a fabric.
Feels like
Stiff. Takes weight without flattening out.

Width, total metres, and the job it is going into.

Photographs show what each grade looks like, not a particular batch. We source these goods rather than make them, so shade and finish vary a little between mills.
